We’re honored to have a rare, unreleased new toy in the store - the upcoming Squeezebox Boom!  Hand delivered by Logitech HQ, we are quite impressed with the new capabilities of this all in one portable streamer!  Not only does it have a tripath amp and serious magnet on its speakers, it also features front panel presets, sub out, headphones/line in and ethernet connections.  As many of our customers are now familiar with, it has the streaming capabilities, from millions of your favorite radio stations, slacker, pandora, and rhapsody, to the fully uncompressed 16bit 44.1 CD quality files from your hard drive.  If you already have the Duet video wifi remote, it also controls the unit (as well as the included push button remote) and will sync w/ the the other systems you may have.  Anyway, at $299, we think these things are going to go fast.   We’ve got our orders placed - get one reserved before they’re backordered…

Actually, it’s 5 speakers, and a cute little sub (resembling a darth vader-esque r2d2 depending on your creative nature?).  The new Dome system by Focal  (sorry, their site is frames!) is in - an hifi performing mid-priced 2.1 or 5.1 package which is small, sexy and out of the way.  The set consists of 5" sealed 2 ways coupled with al/mg tweeters, and an 8" powered sub.  We’re getting it up on the entry 46" Toshiba  120hz LCD w/ the Integra DTR-8.8 and  new Samsung Blueray player BDP-1500  - a very svelte package.  We’ve redesigned the entry theater spaces, so it’s the first thing you’ll see when you come in! In the spirit of the sleek black nature of the Dome system, we’ll even offer a 10% discount if you purchase a system dressed in a Star Wars costume…  = )
