Stereotypes Audio of Portland has the new style Rogue Audio Cronus Magnum II in stock and ready to demo, as well as the brand new Rogue Audio Sphinx v2 Integrated Amplifier. The original Sphinx was a smash hit around here, providing an amazing value for the musical sound coming from this overachieving hybrid power integrated amp. Simple but elegant casework, and a sound that will truly move you. The Cronus Magnum II builds on it’s reputation of being a great integrated tube amplifier at an attainable price. Have you heard, seen, or experienced the Devialet’s amazing Integrated Amp/Wireless DAC? It’s more like a near complete audio system, in one of the most gorgeous and compact casings you will ever see. The remote is beautiful and feels like you’re controlling the Universe with your hand. We’ve been smitten with this great product ever since we brought them in, and we think it’s time you gave it an audition. To say that ‘we’ve got a lot of new products in’ would be an understatement. Here’s a short list of some of what we’ve unboxed recently. We’ve got the new Parasound Halo Integrated amplifier. This one will be sure to please not only the reviewers, but the listeners. We also have the new Cambridge CX line of Integrated Amplifiers. Both the CX A60 and CX A80 Integrated Amplifiers. (btw, Cambridge dropped the ‘Audio’ part of their name). Update: We just got in the Cambridge CXN Network Music Player, and it’s sounding quite wonderful! We also have in the MyGroov phono stage from Micromega, to join our MyAmp and MyDAC. We’ve already mentioned this before, but we also have the wonderful new affordable JL Audio Dominion subwoofers in the 8″ and 10″. Our Home Theater/Multi-channel room is sporting the Marantz Preamplifier AV7702. (in addition to the Focal Aria center channel CC900). And in case you missed this before, we have the truly amazing and well reviewed Moon 430HA by Simaudio headphone amplifier with optional built-in DAC. Wow. This is as good as it gets for headphone amplifiers. We have it in place with our line of headphones, so that you can hear every ‘can at their absolute best. It’s so good, you could even use it as your system DAC.

We’ve got a ton of quick news to tell you about (and we hope to fill in more later). One of the big announcements at CES 2015, was the new Moon by Simaudio Neo 280D DAC. We have several on order, and they should be here sometime in early March. It’s a full Neo case with 24/97, 24/192, 32/384, DSD up to 256, DXD, and even Bluetooth. We’re looking forward to hearing that one. We also have the Pro-Ject Debut Carbon (DC) turntables, in both standard and Esprit SB options. Shunyata Research is once again blowing us away with their amazing power cables, with the introduction of the new Shunyata ZTron SIGMA series of power cords. You gotta here these and the impact they will make on your music! If you’re looking to bring high resolution music to your whole house in an easy to use system, we’ve got you covered with Bluesound, with amazing sound with up to 24/192 in a full host of file options, and it now is streaming Tidal! The high resolution music streaming service that’s set to change the streaming landscape. We also carry the line up of Devialet music systems, which both sound AND look amazing! (Featuring their SAM technology customized for your speakers). Everyone has been singing Devialet’s praises in the press, including the cover feature in the latest Absolute Sound for February, as well as even many of the other online publications, like this. We also still have a few more PSB headphones to be had on sale. And don’t forget our new line up of Rogue Audio gear!

The new Naim Mu-so. A glorified speaker sound bar? Hardly. It’s an all-in-one killer new product that’s hard to fully appreciate without seeing and hearing. Yes, sure it’s a sound bar speaker that is wireless, but it’s also all Naim electronics, built into this one sleek unit. It’s a top notch wireless music system, that is reminiscent of their flagship statement system, but as a more affordable simple package. Six custom speaker drivers controlled by probably one of the most gorgeous volume controls we’ve ever touched (And you’ll probably be enticed as well to touch it). This is a product that is equal in both sight and sound! We’ll have more information here soon about it, but for now… you can read more about it at Naim Audio’s page here, or read a couple reviews here and here. We’ve got one on the floor to hear and see, but this thing is already becoming such a hot ticket item that demand is constraining initial supplies. Come in today and give it an audition!

Stereotypes Audio of Portland gets Rogue Audio. We have several great pieces on our floor now, and are breaking in quite nicely! This includes the Sphinx hybrid integrated, the Cronus Magnum II (full tube Integrated), the new RP-1 Preamplifier, and the Ninety-Nine and Super Magnum Preamp, as well as the Stereo 100 Power Amp (Currently out on demo). We’ll be posting more information soon about this great line of products!

New Products in: Moon by Simaudio Neo 380D DSD Dac is in! New Micromega MyAmp, and Cambridge Audio Aero2 Speakers (review here). The new Micromega MyAmp is so tiny, you won’t even believe it until you see it in person yourself! And the new Neo 380D DSD Dac from Simaudio takes an amazing product and makes even better! The new Cambridge Audio Aero 2 speakers are sounding great as well. More info on these will be posted soon!

With our recent Focal and Devialet event this month, you’ve probably already guessed that we’re now a full Devialet Systems Dealer. We’re proud to be Portland’s Devialet dealer, and look forward to showing off their beautiful looking and sounding systems! Whether they’re powering a nice set of bookshelf speakers in our bamboo room, or our large Focal Scala’s upstairs, the Devialet audio system can handle whatever you throw at it with ease and grace. We’ve just gotten in the brand new Cambridge Audio Minx Xi. At first glance, this may just look like another network music streamer. But it’s so much more than that. Besides network music streaming, it also boasts a 40w per channel integrated amp, making this a very compact and sophisticated small system when combined with compact bookshelf speakers (like our PSB Imagine Minis). The wonderful and amazing Simaudio 700i Integrated Amplifier is on our floor in all black and ready to demo. We’ve all loved the 600i ever since we got it broken in awhile back (which we still have on our floor for demo). The 700i is the next step better. (think of it as “well, our amps go to 11”). We got it in on Simaudio’s wonderful ‘Reach for the Moon’ trade up program, and are excited to give folks a chance to hear this great Integrated Amp! This is one of the best Integrated Amplifiers on the market, with many reviewers stating that ‘this is as close to separates as you can get in an integrated.” We also have a full line up of Simaudio products right now, including their top DACs, Separates, as well as some of their more affordable phono stages and DACs. We also have a few of the new Neo products in. You could say our ‘Moon is full’ right now. Reviews of the 700i here, here,and here.

(UPDATE: The ProAc D30R Speakers, Focal 1028 Be’s and Naim DAC-1 are all broken in and sound beautiful. Audition them today!) We’ve just gotten in the brand brand new ProAc D30R floor stander speakers, and these things are beauties. We’re still breaking them in, so you may have to wait until Sept 1 to hear them, but these things are going to be AMAZING! We also just got in a new pair of Focal 1028Be floor standing speakers that are equally gorgeous. (and yes, still breaking those in as well. Patience grasshopper. Patience). If you heard there larger 1038 Be sibling speakers we had in earlier this year, you know just how special this speaker line is. We also have a slew of other great new products, including several new pieces from Naim, like the new SuperNait. We also have the previously mentioned DAC V1. If you’re just kicking around home this weekend/week wondering what to do, get in here and listen to some great music! Speaking of Focal, we have there wonderful and affordable new Chorus 700 line in, that have really beautiful new finishes that you have to see to truly appreciate. We also are hearing we should have some really great new wireless solutions coming that will make it easy to add wireless audio to nearly anything. (and don’t forget our Kanto Yumi and AudioPro wireless speakers we have)

Somehow we let this one slip through the web blog cracks…. we have permanently on our showroom floor, the well reviewed Simaudio Moon 600i Integrated Amplifier. We’ve been putting it through the full paces over the past month or so and are completely smitten! For those that loved the Simaudio Moon i-5 and i-7, you’re gonna LOVE this new Moon 600i! Rated conservatively at 125 watts per channel (into 8ohms) in a dual mono design, this thing can really move music! It integrates many of Simaudio’s new technologies and advancements, but you really just need to hear it. And it has the usual gorgeous Simaudio case work. Can you feel the love yet already?
