You’ve been patiently waiting. And we now have them in stock! The Arcam rDAC. Arcam produced the world’s first Digital to Analogue Converter 21 years ago and has enjoyed a world wide reputation for excellence in digital audio ever since. The rDAC can also transform the sound quality of sources like set top boxes, delivering high quality radio station streams as well as popular streaming products like Logitech Squeezbox and Sonos.With it’s reference quality Wolfson Microelectronics world class 8741 DAC chip, it can totally transform the sound odigital sources like Computer Servers, DVD, Blu-ray and CD players, which don’t have an internal reference level DAC.
Best yet, it has a top level USB input! Not just an after thought like some DACs, this one was created by dCS (Data Conversion System Ltd). The same company that has been making the well respected Ring DAC that has been an industry leader for many, many years, and currently has some of the most highly regarded (and ultra-ultra-expensive) digital sources out there. The dCS technology allows a precision clock to drastically reduce the level of jitter typically found in USB music sources and delivers a massive improvement in sound quality over the standard USB ‘adaptive’ system that is commonly used.
