Stereotypes Audio of Portland, Oregon has just picked up the Micromega HiFi line from France. We’re still unboxing, breaking them in and putting them through all of the paces, but the early sampling has shown great promise. We had a demo unit that we really liked and are hearing about their great value when it comes to features, power and sound. We plan to have several of their products such as their Pre-Amplifiers, Integrated Amplifiers and Power Amplifiers. Stay tuned for more information as we dig in further. When Cambridge Audio released the first DAC Magic, it became quite the instant sensation for it’s amazing sound and high value. Since then, the DAC landscape has become increasingly more competitive. To counter this, Cambridge Audio has just unleashed it’s update, the DAC Magic Plus! Adding to an already impressive original release, it now comes with: a reworked USB input that now supports 24-bit transfer for ‘better than CD quality’ playback of digital music files of up to 24/192kH, a dedicated headphone amplifier with headphone control, enchanced Anagram upsampling, a new digital preamp function to connect directly to a power amplifier or powered speakers, and much much more! It is available in both silver and black, and their is an optional BT1000 wireless audio receiver to handle wifi streaming as well, coming soon.
