Have you heard, seen, or experienced the Devialet’s amazing Integrated Amp/Wireless DAC? To say that ‘we’ve got a lot of new products in’ would be an understatement. Here’s a short list of some of what we’ve unboxed recently. We’ve got the new Parasound Halo Integrated amplifier. This one will be sure to please not only the reviewers, but the listeners. We also have the new Cambridge CX line of Integrated Amplifiers. Both the CX A60 and CX A80 Integrated Amplifiers. (btw, Cambridge dropped the ‘Audio’ part of their name). Update: We just got in the Cambridge CXN Network Music Player, and it’s sounding quite wonderful! We also have in the MyGroov phono stage from Micromega, to join our MyAmp and MyDAC. We’ve already mentioned this before, but we also have the wonderful new affordable JL Audio Dominion subwoofers in the 8″ and 10″. Our Home Theater/Multi-channel room is sporting the Marantz Preamplifier AV7702. (in addition to the Focal Aria center channel CC900). And in case you missed this before, we have the truly amazing and well reviewed Moon 430HA by Simaudio headphone amplifier with optional built-in DAC. Wow. This is as good as it gets for headphone amplifiers. We have it in place with our line of headphones, so that you can hear every ‘can at their absolute best. It’s so good, you could even use it as your system DAC.

Whole house audio and wireless music has become a hot category these days, with lots of players emerging everyday. But one newer player has a well established pedigree to back it up: BlueSound. They are made up of designers, engineers and individuals from the music industry, hailing from such great audio companies as NAD and PSB, with their focus solely on audio quality, they’ve unleashed a full onslaught of high end wireless audio products to give you a complete solution. While other whole house systems do a great job of streaming music easily throughout the home, BlueSound adds better than CD quality, with resolutions up to 24/192! (the other players can’t do that. We’ve got a ton of quick news to tell you about (and we hope to fill in more later). One of the big announcements at CES 2015, was the new Moon by Simaudio Neo 280D DAC. We have several on order, and they should be here sometime in early March. It’s a full Neo case with 24/97, 24/192, 32/384, DSD up to 256, DXD, and even Bluetooth. We’re looking forward to hearing that one. We also have the Pro-Ject Debut Carbon (DC) turntables, in both standard and Esprit SB options. Shunyata Research is once again blowing us away with their amazing power cables, with the introduction of the new Shunyata ZTron SIGMA series of power cords. You gotta here these and the impact they will make on your music! If you’re looking to bring high resolution music to your whole house in an easy to use system, we’ve got you covered with Bluesound, with amazing sound with up to 24/192 in a full host of file options, and it now is streaming Tidal! The high resolution music streaming service that’s set to change the streaming landscape. We also carry the line up of Devialet music systems, which both sound AND look amazing! (Featuring their SAM technology customized for your speakers). Everyone has been singing Devialet’s praises in the press, including the cover feature in the latest Absolute Sound for February, as well as even many of the other online publications, like this. We also still have a few more PSB headphones to be had on sale. And don’t forget our new line up of Rogue Audio gear!

The new Naim Mu-so. A glorified speaker sound bar? Hardly. It’s an all-in-one killer new product that’s hard to fully appreciate without seeing and hearing. Yes, sure it’s a sound bar speaker that is wireless, but it’s also all Naim electronics, built into this one sleek unit. It’s a top notch wireless music system, that is reminiscent of their flagship statement system, but as a more affordable simple package. Six custom speaker drivers controlled by probably one of the most gorgeous volume controls we’ve ever touched (And you’ll probably be enticed as well to touch it). This is a product that is equal in both sight and sound! We’ve got one on the floor to hear and see, but this thing is already becoming such a hot ticket item that demand is constraining initial supplies. Come in today and give it an audition!

Stereotypes Audio of Portland gets Rogue Audio. We have several great pieces on our floor now, and are breaking in quite nicely! This includes the Sphinx hybrid integrated, the Cronus Magnum II (full tube Integrated), the new RP-1 Preamplifier, and the Ninety-Nine and Super Magnum Preamp, as well as the Stereo 100 Power Amp (Currently out on demo). We’ll be posting more information soon about this great line of products!

Chord Electronics new Hugo…. is it a DAC? (in the same vein as their QuteHD Chordette) is it a portable headphone amp? Is it a pre-amp? Yes. And it’s called Hugo. As per usual, Chord has built a cute and well machined unique and small device. Complete with it’s glowing colored lights and an array of connections. But… you could care less about glowing colored lights of course. How does it sound? Well, both the headphone/portable world and HiFi community are taking notice at this little device that could. It will do any and all files up to 24/384kHz and DSD/DXD as a DAC, complete with line-level, single-ended outputs, two USB sockets, optical TOSLINK, Coax, three headphone outputs, and even Bluetooth. Ok, a bit of quick news to start out the weekend. More in detail later. We have the brand new Chord Hugo portable DAC and headphone amplifier in, you can read more about it here. We’ve been getting a lot of interest in the new Shunyata Research Alpha series we have in now. We also have the brand new ‘DC’ version of the Project Debut Carbon (DC) turntable in, as well as the new Spender D1 bookshelf speakers with that great new tweeter (from the floor stander model we have been enjoying, the Spendor D7). And have you hearts of PSB’s PS1 powered Alpha speakers? They make for a great desktop computer set up or compact system. We also have had in the Cambridge Audio DAC Magic XS portable USB DAC for awhile, but… forgot to mention it! And if that wasn’t enough, we’re also have Grado headphones and Focal Spirit One headphones! (come in to find out more). And wait…. there’s ‘one more thing’… The new Rega Elex-R Integrated Amplifier, a blend of the Brio-R with the Elicit-R.

We’ve just gotten in the brand new Cambridge Audio Minx Xi. At first glance, this may just look like another network music streamer. But it’s so much more than that. Besides network music streaming, it also boasts a 40w per channel integrated amp, making this a very compact and sophisticated small system when combined with compact bookshelf speakers (like our PSB Imagine Minis). We have several new Naim Audio pieces in that are on our floor and ready for audition. A new streamer (ND5 XS), a new preamplifier (NAC-N XS), and one of Naim’s more affordable separate amplifiers (NAP 200) to compliment these pieces. First up, the new Naim ND5 XS, this is the ‘junior’ model to the well reviewed NDX. While in a slimmer case, this is hardly a ‘stripped down version,’ it can do almost all that it’s big brother does, all with the same sonic prowess. It can be used at the core of your home audio network in both a wired or streaming scenario. It handles all lossy files and high resolution files up to 24/192, as well as being able to stream internet radio stations. You can connect your CD player, USB sticks, and computer, and it can integrate easily with the Naim DAC or any connected Naim CD player, Preamplifier or an optional FM tuner radio module. (more…)

Many years ago we carried this great line of hifi audio products, and we are proud to once again carry this high quality/high value line. All of the Micromega products feature an elegant slim line design. Stereotypes Audio of Portland, Oregon has just picked up the Micromega HiFi line from France. We’re still unboxing, breaking them in and putting them through all of the paces, but the early sampling has shown great promise. We had a demo unit that we really liked and are hearing about their great value when it comes to features, power and sound. We plan to have several of their products such as their Pre-Amplifiers, Integrated Amplifiers and Power Amplifiers. Stay tuned for more information as we dig in further.
